Musicians from the Orchestre de chambre de Paris supervise an orchestra of young Colombians.

The project

Wishing to share its experience with young performers living in vulnerable areas, a string quartet from the Orchestre de chambre de Paris – composed of Justine Zieziulewicz, violin, Hélène Lequeux-Duchesne, violin, Claire Parruitte, viola, and Sarah Veilhan, cello – will leave for Colombia at the end of November for a residency to supervise an orchestra of young musicians. A concert with these young musicians at the Auditorio Fabio Lozano of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University will conclude this adventure.

To realize this action, the orchestra is associated with the Batuta Foundation which offers young musicians a musical training and orchestra classes, mainly in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Bogota.

Built as a preamble to other projects and to a future tour of the orchestra, this action is part of a sustainable, reasoned intervention and in an eco-citizen approach of transmission. The string quartet will also perform in concert at the French Embassy.
