Fany Maselli

Solo bassoon

Born in Italy, Fany Maselli developed an early passion for music. She studied the bassoon at leading European institutions: in Vienna with Milan Turković, in Paris with Gilbert Audin, and completing her training with Klaus Thunemann in Berlin. In 2001, she joined the Karajan Akademie in Berlin, collaborating with the Berliner Philharmoniker and performing under the baton of illustrious conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle and Bernard Haitink.

Fany Maselli has been principal bassoonist with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris since May 2005. She performs with many orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Filarmonica della Scala, and the Camerata Salzburg. Since 2009, she has served as assistant professor of bassoon at the CNSMD in Paris.
