Florent Pujuila

Principal clarinet

Florent Pujuila’s musical journey has taken him from his native Catalonia, where he began studying the clarinet at the Regional Conservatory in Perpignan, to the CNSMD in Lyon in the class of Jacques Di Donato. This formative encounter opened two worlds that have continued to shape his career: classical music on the one hand, and jazz and improvisation on the other. In 2003, he won the prestigious ARD competition in Munich and began composing for his improvised music ensembles, including the Pujuila Quartet, whose latest album, Hypocrisis, has received critical acclaim.
