Jossalyn Jensen

American violist Jossalyn Jensen began studying the viola at the age of four and made her solo debut with orchestra at age nine. She has since performed throughout the United States and Europe, in venues including Carnegie Hall, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Philharmonie de Paris. She has taken masterclasses with renowned artists such as Yuri Bashmet, Antoine Tamestit, Lars Anders Tomter, and Tabea Zimmermann. She earned her Bachelor of Music with honours from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Jeffrey Irvine, and completed her Master of Music at Juilliard under Heidi Castleman and Misha Amory, earning the Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Arts Award. A laureate of the 2016–2017 Fulbright Grant, she studied at the CNSMD in Paris with Jean Sulem. She has been principal violist with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris since 2019.
